Dr. Selvaraj Naicker

Scientific Advisor | Ph.D.

Dr. Naicker has led research and development operations in various Pharmaceutical companies in Edmonton, helping to oversee the companies’ growth from a tiny start-up to the approval of the drug by FDA and Health Canada. He is the discoverer of the drug called Voclosporin developed for treating transplant patients to avoid rejection and for the treatment of other autoimmune diseases such as Uveitis and psoriasis. He has worked as Vice-President for Drug development in Isotechnika Inc. and also as Chief Operating Officer and executive Vice-President for drug development in Quest Pharmatech Inc. Edmonton.

Dr. Naicker has published more than 50 articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He authored more than 100 patents. He received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Indian Institute of technology, Madras in 1979 and is a member of various scientific societies.

James is a life-long entrepreneur with a commitment to innovation, excellence and enhancing people’s lives. Prior to founding Levven, James and his partners founded Blue Falls Manufacturing, makers of Arctic Spas and expanded its footprint to over 30 countries.

James is an active member and contributor to several entrepreneur organizations including Entrepreneurs’ Organization, the A100, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs, and Rainforest Alberta.
